How Auto High Beam Assist Works
The system uses the forward camera mounted behind the windscreen to detect headlights of oncoming vehicles and tail lights of vehicles ahead. The camera also measures ambient light levels. When the road ahead is clear and conditions are dark enough, the module activates high beam automatically.
If the camera detects an approaching vehicle or a vehicle ahead, the system dips to low beam immediately. Once the road clears, high beam returns automatically. The driver information display shows the AHBA status. You can override the system at any time using the manual high beam stalk.
The vehicle recognises the retrofit as original equipment through the lighting and driver assistance networks. The system operates seamlessly with existing adaptive headlights where fitted.
