How Reverse Traffic Detection Works
The system uses the rear-mounted blind spot radar sensors to monitor a wide area behind your vehicle. When you engage reverse gear, the sensors scan for vehicles approaching from the left or right. The detection range extends well beyond your normal rear visibility, giving you early warning of moving traffic.
If the system detects a crossing vehicle, it emits an audible warning and displays a visual alert on the touchscreen. The mirror indicators flash on the side from which the vehicle approaches. The warning intensifies as the vehicle gets closer. The system remains active until you shift out of reverse or the detected vehicle passes out of range.
