Technical Specifications
Each additional key fob operates on the JLR remote frequency of 434 MHz. The key contains a passive transponder that the vehicle immobiliser reads when you press the start button or insert the blade. The key also supports passive entry and passive start on vehicles equipped with keyless access. The emergency key blade sits inside the fob and unlocks the driver’s door mechanically if the battery fails.
The programming process writes the new key into the vehicle’s Keyless Vehicle Module. This module stores a list of authorised keys.
