How Park Assist GEN2 Works
Park Assist GEN2 uses a network of ultrasonic sensors positioned around the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle. When you activate the system, the sensors scan for parking spaces while you drive below 20 mph. The system identifies suitable parallel or perpendicular spaces and alerts you on the touchscreen.
Once you select a space and engage reverse, the system takes control of the steering while you manage the accelerator, brakes, and gear selection. The vehicle recognises the retrofit as original equipment through the parking aid and driver assistance networks. The existing parking sensor display and rear camera continue to operate normally when Park Assist is inactive.
