When navigating low-traction surfaces, the system continuously calculates the wheel slip ratio, defined as $\lambda = \frac{\omega r – v}{v}$, where $\omega$ is the angular velocity of the wheel, $r$ is the effective tire radius, and $v$ is the vehicle velocity. This real-time telemetry allows the Active Driveline to preemptively route torque to the axle with the highest available friction coefficient.
The Configurable Terrain Response Interface
Unlike standard Land Rover terrain modes that apply fixed parameters, the Configurable mode introduces a bespoke driver interface via the central touchscreen. Through the `terrain_response_config.xml` overlay, the driver can independently adjust steering weight, throttle response gradient, traction control intervention thresholds, and electronic differential lock bias. All-Terrain Progress Control Integration

The system utilizes a complex proportional-integral-derivative control loop to manage individual wheel braking and powertrain output. The torque distribution algorithm operates continuously to maintain the set speed without driver throttle input, governed by the following control logic:
