What Is JLR Video in Motion?

JLR Video in Motion (VIM) is a factory software activation that unlocks video playback on the InControl Touch Pro front screen while the vehicle is moving. Your Jaguar or Land Rover already ships with the hardware capability to play DVD and USB video content. However, JLR configures the system to blank the video signal once the vehicle exceeds a low speed threshold. This restriction protects the driver from distraction, and it leaves passengers without access to the entertainment system they expect.

Our JLR Video in Motion activation removes that speed-based restriction. We edit the Car Configuration File (CCF) and code the change directly to your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). How the Activation Works

The tool writes the updated configuration back to the Infotainment Master Controller (IMC), and the vehicle retains the setting across ignition cycles. The activation works with the factory DVD drive and USB media sources. It supports popular video formats including AVI, H.264, DivX, Xvid, and MKV. You keep full access to navigation, climate control, and all other InControl Touch Pro functions throughout the process.
